Interesting piece on the one “four p” that’s often overlooked – price. While most marketers focus on promotion
because it’s sexy, price is the “p” of the day as we slip further and further into economic gloom.
I do agree that although price is easiest to move up and down, it’s far easier to move “down” than “up.’ So, if you’re not planning on raising your prices anytime soon, go ahead and use low price as an advantage in today’s environment.
That is, if you don’t care about the brand. A low price doesn’t always speak well of a great brand.
