Fighting Back the Smart Way
We knew that the presidential campaign was going to get dirty. The Obama campaign has announced an interesting idea for fighting back. They’ve just launched a Web site called FighttheSmears.com. It’s designed to address the nastiness head on.While I think it’s an interesting idea, you have to tip your hat to the overall strategy. By addressing the smears on line, the pro-Obama network drives down the rumor-mongering sites into search engine oblivion.
So, not only are they debunking some obvious bunk, they’re gaming Google. Smart.
