Cyber CVs and Virtual Networking Are Killing the Old School Resume

I am convinced that all the old paper relics like resumes and cover letters (even those soft-copy versions) will soon die a quick death, if they haven't already. The new careerist needs to brush up their LinkedIn and, yes, make those personal MySpace and Facebooks look a bit more professional.

Given that almost ALL networking will soon be social media networking (What? No more Chamber of Commerce mixers???), I was intrigued by the social media resume, Visual CV.

I have to admit, my CV didn’t look so uber-cool once I mocked it up. Seems most of my work is old-school and copy heavy. But check out the resumes of those who are a bit more visual. Good stuff.
